Original

Every game opens on its original soundtrack, so the version you remember is always one tap away.

Piano, orchestral, and more

Piano albums, orchestral concerts, jazz sessions, covers, and remixes sit right below, with a filter for each, so you find your style fast.

Know what you’re hearing

Credits and release years travel with every album, so when an arranger wins you over, you can find what else they’ve made.

A new way to listen every day.

Every day Motif makes a custom mix of your collection: about 90 minutes from three to five of your games, so there’s nothing to pick and nothing to set up. Anything you heard in the last month sits out, so it never goes stale, and opening the pack is half the fun.

Kefka’s Domain: the complete soundtrack from the Final Fantasy III video game, the 1994 CD
Kefka’s Domain · 1994
Why I built Motif

When I was 13 I bought my first video game soundtrack: Final Fantasy 3 (I know… it’s really 6). Ever since then I’ve loved collecting and listening to the music from my favorite games. Most of all I love finding new arrangements of a song that I’ve heard 1,000 times before.

I wanted an app that made that easy: music organized by game and by series, every version of a soundtrack in one place, and a simple way to keep up with new compositions. I couldn’t find one, so I built Motif.

Now it’s how I enjoy and explore music from the games I love, every day. I hope you will too.

Enjoy,Jason Citron
